LED lighting is one of the most effective ways of saving energy over conventional lighting systems with their efficiency of around 85 lumens per watt they are 5 times more efficient than 60–100 watt incandescent light bulbs which produce only 15 lumens per watt. As a comparison standard fluorescent (low energy) lights produce up to 100 lumens/watt.
However the coemi range of LED lighting use focused beams to concentrate light typically in a 50% viewing angle. These are ideal for concealed ceiling lighting, multiple lighting fittings and under floor lights. They also have the advantage of low heat emissions, attractive space age aluminium casings, no UV or IR radiation and a design life 50,000 hours.
