Existing Technology

​Existing lighting was T8 Quad Fluorescent 60cm x 60cm cassettes mounted in a suspended ceiling.

Issue

Many of the fittings were failing, some flashing and staff were complaining of head aches and migraines

The Offices are often in use six days a week so energy costs were high, as well as the poor quality of light was certainly creating additional stress and effecting productivity.

The break room was constantly lit throughout the day even when unoccupied.

Energy Costs

 As with many leased Offices the energy is often purchased through a third party or the site management. In this case Let Alliance were paying a premium for their electricity which amounted to over 80p per kWh

Solution

 

Using our wide beam Low Glare Flicker free Back lit LED Panels the offices were transformed into a bright and relaxed atmosphere conducive for an efficient Call Centre.

Corridors and breakroom were all fitted with Microwave sensor automatic On & Off LED bulkhead lights. These were adjusted so that Staff were able to relax without lights switching off prematurely, yet turning off automatically between breaks, thus saving energy.

All lights were supplied in 4000 kelvin which is a warm daylight with a build life 50,000 hours.

Energy use was reduced by 78% saving a massive £35,473 over 5 years.

There is no maintenance for LED lights.
