The Student Housing Company – Park Court

Existing Technology

Existing lighting was 2D Fluorescent, T5, T8 Fluorescent fittings and other Fluorescent lights. In total 375 lights.

Park Court is a very large Student Accommodation for Lincoln University situated in the City Centre in Lincoln. The Student Housing Manager Anthony Thomas and  Kate Brandwood wanted to improve lighting in the corridor, communal and kitchen area where the lighting particularly dark and dingy.

The old Fluorescent Emergency Lights were also failing and they required additional units to comply with new regulations.

Energy costs for the buildings were high due to 24 hours of opening per day.

The maintenance cost of the Fluorescent old fitting was high and time consuming.

Areas such as corridor needed automatically switched lighting.
