Energy Saving Retail and Shop Lighting

Predominantly many retail premises use Halogen, Metal Halide or Fluorescent lighting.

LED Supermarket Lighting

Convenience stores and Supermarkets are often very long hours and require good light levels often 500 LUX. This means if you operate with Fluorescent or Metal Halide then regular maintenance changing tubes and bulbs is a regular occurrence and additional expense. Changing over to LED T5 Twin Battens and LED High Bay Tubes or Discs means no more maintenance is required, brighter shadow less lighting and a 60 – 70% energy saving often Several thousand per year!

LED Lighting for Showrooms

Showrooms such as in the furniture and carpet business again have often 6-7 day opening times and large areas to light.  Again mainly Fluorescent or Halogen regular replacement of tubes and bulbs means an addition overhead to maintain the customer experience.

Colour Matching Your Lighting

Added to this is colour matching, its important that the light temperature or colour which is measured in Kelvins should be 4000 – 5000k, this is natural white more in keeping with day light.

Often Fluorescent tubes especially as the deplete will be 2700k or yellow tinted light. For colour matching of materials, carpets and or tiles is impossible with a yellow tinted light. Again often LED lighting is fitted without any thought about colour, 6000k for example is fine for a workshop or office but too blue for colour matching where a natural light 4000 – 5000k is required. Our Epistar LED Panels and T5 Twin LED Battens can be supplied in 5000k which is perfect for colour matching and again will reduce energy usage by 70% with no maintenance ever.
