PAT Testing

Our tester will make a visual check on plugs and connecting cables and use a testing meter to check the insulation.
Each item will be listed and the customer receives a copy for reference at the next testing date.
Our Tester will also label each item of equipment with a PASS or FAIL Label with a reference as on the list.
PAT Testing
Is PAT Testing Compulsory?
No, whilst employers are not legally required to do PAT testing, employers are responsible to ensure that their electrical equipment is maintained in order to prevent danger.

What Equipment needs to be Tested?
Basically equipment which is plugged and portable. HSE recommend that the testing intervals of static equipment such as Refrigerators is every 3 years where as mains electric drills, should be annually.
